DIAMOND HUE (COLOR)
Know about your diamond type
The industry standard for grading diamond color is actually based on the lack of color. A chemically pristine diamond possesses no natural tint—much like a drop of distilled water. Generally, the more transparent and "color-free" a stone is, the higher its rarity and market value.

The Color Scale
D, E, F
Colorless
These stones are icy white and show no trace of tint even under magnification.
G, H, I, J
Near Colorless
Appear white to the naked eye; color is only detectable by experts.
K, L, M
Faint Tint
A subtle warm or yellowish undertone may be visible.
N thru Z
Light Tones
Noticeable yellow or brown hues that become more apparent as you move toward Z.
